Melinda’s dream of owning a horse seems to slip farther away when her family moves to an apartment in New York City. But her Great-Uncle Buck thinks every man, and girl, should have a horse. This is how it comes to be that a horse called Marshmallow, comes to live on the roof of the apartment building. Even on a rooftop, a horse needs a fence and grass. A disgruntled tenant causes problems, and so does the fact Marshmallow is in foal.
