Can I buy a magazine from you?
No. I don’t actually have stocks of them for sale. I have a small collection myself, and most of the photos you can see on the site were sent to me by other collectors.
Where can I find magazines?
1. Magazines are often for sale on eBay – it’s where I found most of the ones I have. I have also seen them on secondhand sites like AbeBooks and Etsy, and you can try the Facebook group Our Old Pony Books which sometimes has equine magazines for sale.
2. If you’re in the UK, the British Library has full runs of most magazines, and you can read them there. You will need to plan this though: most magazines are not kept on site, so you’ll need to order them in advance of your visit.
3. Some magazines, like Country Life, have been digitised and are available via sites like British Newspaper Archive.
4. Horse and Hound has been digitised, and you can pay for access to that archive.
Can I ask you to find an article for me?
No. I have previously tried to help with queries like this, but the volume of them has increased, and it’s not sustainable.
But I will pay you!
I have a full-time job already. I really don’t have the time to do it even if you pay.
