About the author

Marion T Place (1910– 2006) was born in Indiana. She wrote some 40 books, which included fact and fiction on the American West, and latterly, thrillers. Under the name Dale White, she wrote westerns. Her children’s book, Mystery of Wild Horse Trap, is about racehorses.

While trying to prove his father’s innocence after he mysteriously disappeared following astagecoach robbery, Rob takes a job with Mr Thomas, who is trying to raise race horses in Montana. While Rob works out how the robbery happened, the grey horse Dusty keeps him busy.
