About the author
Sewell Ford (1868–1946) wrote the Torchy series, and also numerous horsey short stories. Some of these were collected into two volumes, Horses Nine and Just Horses.
Finding the books
Not impossible to find, and both Horses Nine and Just Horses are available as POD, though with the usual caveats about quality.
