Fea, Henry R

About the author

Henry R Fea wrote several children’s books, generally about animals. His Maggie’s Caravan didn’t impress Kirkus when it came out. The review described the book as “a plodding story up the Saccharine Trail”, far preferring his earlier book, The Wild One, which they described as a solid adventure story. Alas I’ve not been able to find any biographical information about Henry R Fea to date.

Kirkus review

Cream Puff has retired from pulling steam boats, and he  journeys with the family who own him in a borrowed trailer. On their way to Canada, the trailer breaks down, and the family have to find another way to get there, at which point Cream Puff comes into his own.
