About the author
Brian Carter is a Devon-based author, most of whose books are based in the South West of England. He wrote a conservation and countryside column in the Devon Herald Express, and also presented a Channel 4 television series on Dartmoor. His one horse book, Jack, is an historical novel, which ranges from the South West of England to the battlefield of the Somme.

Easy to find in both the USA and the UK. It has been printed in the UK, and also appeared, abridged, as part of a Reader’s Digest Condensed novel.
