Wallin, Marie-Louise

About the author

Marie-Louise Wallin (b.1933) is a Swedish author of children’s books. She grew up in Dubai, and became a teacher. Tangles (1975) was her first book, and the first in an oeuvre which concentrated on the complexities of relationships between teenagers. The book was translated into several languages, and Kirkus liked the English version: “This is no Equus; these are real girls and real horses in a natural world of tenderness, longing, joy, resignation.”
