About the author
Richard Kennedy (b.1932) has written over 20 books for children, many of which employ elements of mythology and folklore as they weave their tales of the pursuit of love, and its redemptive power. Song of the Horse is the story of the love between a girl and a horse; it’s a book which worried its publishers when first submitted. They commented on its eroticism, although it is not overt.
