About the author
Penelope Coker Wilson was born in South Carolina, to a mother, Elizabeth Boatwright Coker, who was an author. She wrote one horse story about a Shetland pony given to a New York boy who doesn’t have anywhere sensible to keep him.

A Shetland pony story: Jamie’s uncle gives him Fancy, a Shetland. The major problem here is that however small Fancy is, Jamie doesn’t have anywhere to graze her. He lives in New York and the only outside space they have is a cement patch.
