About the author
Ella William Porter (1903–95) was a teacher, author, summer camp director and a home demonstration agent. She used her own experiences in her books, particularly Sandra Kendall of the 4-H – The Career Story of a Young Home Demonstration Agent (1942). As far as I’m aware, she wrote one horse book, The Wind’s in the West (1950).
Finding the book
Not hugely common, but not expensive when it does turn up.
