About the author
Peter McPhee was born in Glasgow, and emigrated with his parents to Canada. He writes YA stories which deal with difficult themes like suicide, living on the streets and stalking. His first book, A Way with Horses, was written for the Lorimer Sports series, and whilst not dealing with the horrible complexities of his later novels, does look at the difficulties of succeeding in a world where winning costs.
