About the author
Karen McGoldrick lives dressage: she owns a dressage stable, teaches dressage, competes (she’s a USDF-certified instructor and USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold medalist) and she writes about it too. She didn’t start off that way though: she started working at the age of 12 as a working student, and her heart belonged to jumping. The route to dressage was a long one, by way of university, looking after foxhounds, polo ponies, hunters and racehorse breaking before experiencing her first dressage clinic with Suzanne Handler. She was hooked.
