About the author
Philo Norton McGiffin (1900–64) was born in New York. He became a professor of English at Arlington State College. He worked as a journalist for papers in New York and Florida, and during World War II, became a radio news analyst and commentator for the Texas Quality Network. He wrote several books for children, amongst which was The Domino Horse, published in 1958.
