About the author
Cliff Faulknor (Chauncey Clifford Vernon Faulknor) was born in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1913. He had a varied career, working as a bank clerk, artillery gunner, land inspector and columnist to name just a few of his occupations. He wrote a national column, and wrote at least 10 books. One of his books, The Smoke Horse, has proved very popular, achieving two different publications in the UK, a rare feat for a Canadian book. Cliff Faulknor also wrote about Canada’s Mr Rodeo, Herman Linder.
