Farradj, Henrietta Siksek

About the author

Henrietta Siksek Farradj was born in Jerusalem in 1918, an Arab Palestinian. She studied in America at George Washington and Kalamazoo Universities, and then returned to Jerusalem, where she found work as a teacher. For many years she presented children’s radio programmes under the name “Suad”, once being shelled when the broadcasting station was attacked. Her mother, Katherine Siksek, had started the Four Homes of Mercy, a hospice, and after her death, Henrietta became its Executive Honorary Secretary.

Finding the book:
Available, but can be pricy because of its Arabian subject matter, which always tends to bump prices up.
