La Rocque du Bose has written one horse book, Wild Horse, Wild Rider. The author has also written for the Cliff Notes series (study guides) on Cyrano de Bergerac and For Whom the Bell Tolls.
Finding the book
This book is reasonably easy to find in the USA. It was not printed in the UK.

Ted’s father is not ideal. He is overbearing and a thorough going perfectionist. He sends Ted to their ranch to enforce discipline on him. While Ted is there, his father does (reluctantly) allow him to work with an unbroken horse on the ranch, using Ted’s own, gentle, methods.
