The Best Horse Ever

Holiday House, New York, 2010, 74 pp, illus Ronald Himler

For Abby, it’s a dream come true. She’s finally going to have her very own horse. Her parents have bought her Griffin, the beautiful bay horse that she rides in lessons. Abby can’t wait to ride, brush, and feed him. But Abby‘s best friend, Devon, is afraid of horses, and it causes trouble between them. Abby turns her attention entirely to Griffin and works hard to prove that she is responsible
enough to care for him and ride him safely. Still, she misses Devon, and finally she reaches out to mend the friendship.
