About the author
Jennifer Rennick worked as a secretary in the House of Commons, and as a press officer in a London hotel. She has written several books on medieval history, but her one work of fiction reflects her keenness on the horse. Country Affairs has a hunting background: it’s a good and entertaining read, with a cast of thoroughly engaging characters.

Once a year Kate Hopegood meets the man she loved before she met her husband, but this year is different. This year, Patrick’s wife turns up, furious, leaving Kate to depart in disgrace. She decides to have a complete break, and goes to work as a housekeeper to an elderly colonel in rural Gloucestershire. This is not the idyll she imagines, particularly when the colonel’s daughter turns out to be Patrick’s (hunting mad) wife.
