About the author
Bohumil Říha (1907–87) was a Czech author who wrote children’s books. One was translated and printed as Ryn, the Wild Horse. As far as I’m aware, that is the only book of his with any horse content. His books were well received: for his contribution to the field of children’s literature, he was awarded the Hans Christian Andersen Award for Writing in 1980.
