Cathy’s new neighbour, Mark, is a permanent invalid and not even remotelye asy to get on with: he is prickly and difficult. However, both of them share a passion for Cathy’s house, Beamsters, an historic house her father has inherited. They discover the history of the bee masters who once lived in the house, and Cathy helps Mark to discover the freedom of movement by teaching him to ride her pony.
