Rosemary Weir (1905-1995) wrote many children’s books. She was born in South Africa, and was educated there and in England. She trained for the stage, and had several different careers until she started writing at the age of 50. Her best known book is probably Pyewacket.
Finding the book
Reasonably easy to find. The first edition can be on the expensive side, but paperbacks are readily available. The UK printing is reasonably easy to find, but is not always cheap.
