Carol Iden

Sidney’s Ghost

World Publishing Co, Cleveland, 1969, illus Paul Galdone, 127 pp.

A retired police horse is about to be sent for slaughter, but Sidney and Megan hide the horse in an
abandoned barn and paint him white to camouflage him, but their plan has some rather unexpected
side effects.

Carol Iden has, as far as I know, published just the one book, a story about an attempt to rescue a horse due to be sent for slaughter.

Finding the book:  the book is easy to find in the USA, but was not printed in the UK.
